The Overland PTA is the heart of our school, working to build a community of parents and faculty dedicated to providing an exceptional school experience for our children. Building this community takes a village, and we depend on our families to support our mission through membership, charitable programs, staying informed, and by getting involved. The strong commitment to volunteerism by, and support from, Overland families helps make this school a gem.
Supporting the Overland PTA builds student success. The PTA organizes and funds many of our curriculum enhancement programs and events.
The PTA was created to give parents a voice amongst teachers and staff in cultivating an enjoyable, productive, safe and healthy school atmosphere for our children. This is why we have multiple forums for parents to connect, including monthly PTA meetings with the Principal and Teacher Representatives, Kinder Connection for new parents, and School Councils.
The PTA facilitates family involvement in and out of the classroom, and supports curriculum enhancement programs such as gardening, art, library, field trips, student assemblies, and our student newspaper Soaring High.
The PTA also organizes student and community events throughout the school year including STEAM Day, Career Day, the Art Show, Books on Parade, Fall Food Drive, Prospective Parents Day, and Family Fun Nights.
All of these amazing initiatives depend on your membership. We invite you to join the PTA and our wonderful team of volunteers so together we can continue making a positive difference in our children’s education. Whether it’s joining a committee, volunteering in a classroom, purchasing Overland Gear or a SCRIP gift card, attending a meeting, sharing an idea, reading your school emails, or simply registering you and your family as PTA members, YOU can make a difference!
Join us today by registering online. Please stop by one of our weekly or monthly gatherings or send us an email. We look forward to welcoming you! Overland #BetterTogether
